What this tool does
It converts PNG images into JPG at the quality you choose. Because JPG cannot store transparency, any transparent or semi-transparent pixels are blended onto a solid background colour. White is the default; pick black or a brand colour if the image will sit on a dark page.
If a PNG had transparent areas, the result tells you, so a logo doesn't silently end up on the wrong background.
When it's useful
- Large PNG photos or screenshots that need to be emailed or uploaded with a size limit.
- Forms and older systems that only accept JPG.
- Preparing photos for print services that ask for JPG.
How to use it
- Choose or drop PNG files (up to 50).
- Set the quality. 90 keeps text in screenshots sharp; 75–80 is fine for photos.
- Choose a background colour for transparency.
- Press Convert to JPG and download.
Practical examples
- A 2.4 MB PNG screenshot often becomes 250–500 KB as a quality-90 JPG.
- A transparent logo on white becomes a logo on a white rectangle. Keep the PNG for places that need transparency.
Limitations
- Transparency is lost by design. For a smaller file that keeps transparency, use WebP.
- Sharp text and line art can show faint halos at low quality. Use quality 90 or higher for diagrams.
- Only PNG input. Up to 50 files, 50 MB each.
